Our Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti is made for us with organic wheat grown in the Dakotas. The source of this wheat can change from year to year, depending on where our supplier feels the best crop is being grown - this year that wheat came from the Dakotas. You may think more of mountains than wheat fields when you imagine North & South Dakota, but they really do grow some of the country's best organic hard amber durum wheat.
The bottom line: incorporating healthier eating habits is so much easier when you have great-tasting foods to add to your diet. TJ's Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti is just that. Plus, it has more protein and fiber than our regular pasta (eight grams of protein and five grams of fiber per serving), and its flavor is a bit nuttier than other pastas. It holds sauce as well as its traditional counterpart, and its rich flavor makes it a natural ingredient in everything from traditional spaghetti & meatballs to more complex baked pasta dishes - try it blended with our Organic Tomato Basil Marinara, a simple blend of extra virgin olive oil and sautéed garlic, or beneath chicken made with our Many Cloves of Garlic Sauce. And if you make a bit too much and find yourself with leftovers, it's quite terrific cooked with scrambled eggs and bacon - strange, perhaps, but true.
We're selling Trader Joe's Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti in a 16 ounce bag for $1.39, every day. You'll find it in our grocery aisle.
