Arugula & Parmigiano Reggiano Ravioli

Every food culture has its dumplings – gyoza, pierogi and kreplach come to mind. For the Italians, while there are a few variations on the theme, the reigning champion dumpling is, without a doubt, the raviolo. We tend to call them by their plural name, ravioli, because, really, when have you ever been able to eat just one?
We also tend to sell them in multiples, rather than a single raviolo at a time, which is good, because you're not going to want to stop at one – or two or three, for that matter, when you discover Trader Giotto's Arugula & Parmigiano Reggiano Ravioli. These are delicate pillows of thin, smooth pasta, imported just for us from Italy. The fine texture of the pasta means maximum impact for the savory filling – fresh arugula and authentic Parmigiano Reggiano. You could add a sauce, though we think these are best highlighted with just a splash of top-quality extra virgin olive oil (check out our grocery aisle for a cornucopia of choices) and maybe a bit of freshly shaved or grated Parmesan cheese.
