Creamy Toscano Cheese Soaked in Syrah

Creamy Toscano Cheese Soaked in Syrah

October 7th—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.

Creamy Toscano Cheese Soaked in Syrah begins with a Wisconsin-crafted cheese that seamlessly blends the nutty flavor of an aged Parmesan with the creamy texture of a farmstead Cheddar.  In a twist that's exclusive to Trader Joe's, each wheel is soaked in our very own Coastal Syrah.  The wine imparts subtle blackberry and plum jam flavors to the cheese, creating a marriage of flavors that's destined to make you say "I do," over and over again.  Try it on crackers like our Pumpkin and Cranberry Crisps, with fresh, seasonal fruit like Bartlett Pears or Gala Apples grate it over hot pasta, or make a quick hors d'oeuvre by laying thin slices atop baguette pieces and heating under the broiler for just a couple of minutes.  It pairs well with everything from Pinot Noir to a hoppy ale.

We're selling Trader Joe's Creamy Toscano Cheese Soaked in Syrah in pieces of about seven ounces for $7.99 a pound, the same price it was when we first introduced it back in 2011.
