Costa Rican Tarrazu
March 18, 2013—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.
These character-rich beans come from one of the first coffee co-ops established in Central America in 1960. Located in the middle of the San José province, Tarrazu is a marquis coffee-growing region, noted for its fertile, highly acidic, volcanic soils and high altitudes. Strictly Hard Beans (the highest grade according to Costa Rican bean classification) thrive in a climate that promises generous annual precipitation, a well-defined dry season and abundant year-round sunshine. We've given the vibrant green beans a medium-dark roast, showcasing their full-bodied flavor and bright acidity. These beans brew up bold and balanced. We're selling each 13 ounce container for $6.99.
