Shredded Hash Browns
February 4, 2013—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.
It seems that every food culture that includes potatoes has a special breakfast dish made with those tuber-iffic taters. There's the tortilla de patatas in Spanish cuisine, the latke in Jewish & Eastern European cooking, Rösti in Switzerland and good old hash browns here in the U.S.—like Trader Joe's Shredded Hash Browns.
Our Shredded Hash Browns are made just for us using Northwest grown potatoes. Unlike many other versions of this simple potato preparation, ours is made without artificial ingredients, preservatives or partially hydrogenated oils. We think their short list of natural ingredients is what makes them taste so good. Serve them with eggs and bacon to make a really hearty breakfast that will help you get through those chilly winter mornings. Or break with tradition and serve them with dinner—they are simply potatoes, after all.
They are also very simply priced, at $1.69 for each 20 ounce bag. You'll find them in our freezers.
