Jack Jalapeño, Man of Spice…
This is not your typical "pepper Jack." This one's special. Trader Joe's Monterey Jack Jalapeño is made in small batches by a master cheesemaker at a 100 year old dairy cooperative in Wisconsin. The moisture level in the cheese is lower than most, which gives it bigger body, deeper flavor and more intriguing texture than similar cheeses. It also has a terrific cheese-pepper ratio, ensuring you get a little heat from both red and green jalapeño peppers in every bite.
Monterey Jack Jalapeño is of course, ideal with Mexican fare like nachos, quesadillas or enchiladas. It also enlivens eggs, adds excitement to chicken and makes a superlatively sumptuous cheeseburger. We're selling it in random weight pieces of about 11.5 ounces, for the everyday value price of $4.49 a pound.
