Salted Caramel Nut Delights
December 31, 2012 - Fearlessly Archived - Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.
In Greek mythology, ambrosia was the food of the gods. But just what was it? In our wildest fantasies, ambrosia is flaky, cocoa-infused phyllo pastry crowns that are filled with almonds and English walnuts, then generously drizzled with caramel and sprinkled with sea salt. It is crafted with butter, honey and a hint of coffee to add richness and depth. Each individual pastry "cup" promises crispy, crunchy, chewy, sweet, nutty, buttery, chocolaty, salty (deep sigh) delight.
With the creation of Trader Joe's Salted Caramel Nut Delights, we realized, OMg (that's Oh My gods), we've done it! Ambrosia. Out of mythology and into Trader Joe's freezers. Elegant enough to serve holiday guests (if they're good enough for Zeus…), yet simple enough to give to the kids after a weeknight meal. Just defrost, and for the first time, ambrosia will be within your grasp.
We're selling each 6.5 ounce box of six Salted Caramel Nut Delights for $3.99. You'll find them in our freezers.
