The lush green pastures of New Zealand's dairy farms provide the jumping off point for our New Zealand Grass Fed Sharp Cheddar. The milk used to produce this distinctive cheese comes from cows raised on family owned dairies and treated to a diet of the abundant natural grasses that blanket the rich, volcanic soils throughout these dairylands. Because of their diet, the cows produce incredibly flavorful milk, which in turn produces incredibly flavorful cheese.
Trader Joe's New Zealand Grass Fed Sharp Cheddar is aged for about 12 months to ensure its charismatic character and superb sharpness. It's delicious sliced or cubed on crackers, making quite an impression on a cheese tray. Serve it with a hearty ale or complex Chardonnay. We're selling this singular cheese for the singularly low price of $5.49 a pound.
