Fleur De Sel Caramels
August 20, 2012 - Fearlessly Archived - Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.
If you're one of those people who routinely hoard the gift-able boxes of our Fleur De Sel Caramels each holiday season, we have good news. You can stop hoarding. We now have them every day, albeit in a less fancy package. Trader Joe's Fleur De Sel Caramels are the very same candies, from the very same supplier, in a smaller package. They'll still make a great gift – just a little more understated.
Inside the tub are soft, buttery caramels (about 28 in a tub) accented with a rare sea salt called Fleur De Sel, or “Flower of Salt.” The salt is harvested by hand in the salt marshes off the coast of France in Guerande. You can harvest these individually-wrapped goodies simply by dipping your hand into the tub. We're selling each 10 ounce container for $2.99, a price that could actually inspire more hoarding. Oh boy.
