SO Good! Such a Value!

If you love chocolate, and we mean really love chocolate, this is the brownie mix you've been dreaming about your entire life. We're not kidding around. We don't kid about chocolate. And especially not about brownies. Trader Joe's Truffle Brownie Mix makes brownies that are so moist, so chocolaty, so dense… we pretty much swore off making brownies from scratch the very first time we made these. Why go to all the effort when this mix is that much better than every other batch of brownies we'd ever made? Heck, even a leading consumer magazine rated these the best brownies around (August 2011).

Why are these so good? The Dutch cocoa, premium chocolate chips and natural vanilla flavor are definitely factors. We're sure the omission of artificial flavors, colors and preservatives contributes to the even-better-than-homemade goodness in every bite. The real butter and eggs you add to the mix (the only required additions, by the way) certainly help. And when you figure in the incredibly great price of $2.99 for a 16 ounce box (makes 16 brownies), you really can not go wrong.
