Our Pane Guttiau—made for us in Sardinia of 100% Sardinian ingredients—results from a process in which bread dough is rolled out into thin rounds and baked. These rounds are then sliced through the middle—making them even thinner. The bread is sprinkled with olive oil before being baked a second time. Finally, out of the oven comes a flat, crisp wafer that is so ultra-thin, it's been nicknamed Carta di Musica (“music sheets”) in reference to its paper-like weight and shape. We finish each cracker with salt.
