Neither pine nor apple, the curiously named pineapple is native to the regions of South America that now make up Brazil and Paraguay. Spanish explorers are said to have been the first who brought the fruit to the Philippines. Today, that country is the world’s largest pineapple growing region—and it’s where our juice is produced.
Our supplier takes whole pineapples (minus foliage and peel) and puts them through a juicer. What comes out is precisely what goes into the can. Our Pineapple Juice is not from concentrate, and you can tell with your very first sip. Fruit to juicer to can to Trader Joe’s—that’s a pretty succinct summation of how this juice gets to you.
The pack of four 8.45-ounce cans is ready-made for a picnic or the beach—or a picnic at the beach! Or, stay at home and heat some juice and brown sugar in a saucepan, marinade some bone-in chicken breasts in the resulting glaze, and firing up the grill for a tropical barbeque. Of course, pineapple juice and white rum (or your favorite spirit) in a chilled glass is a no-brainer—a suitable accompaniment to the setting summer sun.
Our 100% Pineapple Juice 4-Pack is an everyday item that is always on our shelves—but at this time of year, it’s a summer kick-off party just waiting to happen!
